Websites for service-based sole traders

Good work.
Better shown.

You’re running the business and doing the work. Give people a clear picture of your services and an easy next step, with a website that feels like you.

Discuss your website

Adelaide-based. Work directly with Thomas. Agree the scope first.

The first impression matters

You know your work.
Make it easy to understand.

You might clean homes, maintain gardens, tutor students or keep the books. Your website should explain the service, show who is behind it and make getting in touch straightforward.

Bring the questions you answer repeatedly into one useful place: what you do, who you help, where you work and what happens next. Then shape the design around your business.

A considered, focused website

Less searching.
More understanding.

Whether your service is hands-on or professional, a visitor should understand what you offer and how to enquire — on their phone, too.

  • Your experience and approved work, clearly presented
  • Services and service areas in plain language
  • A short enquiry with the contact method they prefer

Your site starts with your own facts, personality and approved imagery. The examples shown are fictional design studies.

One clear path.
No maze of fields.

From first hello to handover

Clear steps.
Room for your input.

Keep your time focused. Start with what you have, agree a clear brief and review the design in practical steps.

  1. 01

    Start with the business.

Tell Thomas what you do and what you need the website to explain. Start with your existing notes, photos or site. Email works; a call is optional.

  2. 02

Agree the plan and the scope.

Agree the pages, content responsibilities, feedback steps, setup and written quote before the build. A clear plan helps keep decisions manageable alongside your work.

  3. 03

Shape it. Check it. Hand it over.

Review the direction, consolidate your feedback and approve the finished work. Testing and source handover are part of the plan.

Before we begin

A few useful
things to know.

Is this only for trades?

No. The focus is service-based sole traders: for example, cleaners, gardeners, tutors, bookkeepers and independent consultants. The scope and design depend on your own business.

Do I need to book a call?

No. Email is a valid way to work through the fit and next steps. A call is an option if you prefer one.

What does a website include?

The page count, content, images, enquiry setup, revision allowance and installation are written into the agreed scope. Hosting and any third-party costs are discussed separately.

Can you use my existing domain?

That is often possible. The current hosting, domain and email setup needs checking first. Any migration work is scoped before changes are made.

Are these real client results?

The home-service and bookkeeping examples are fictional design studies. They show design possibilities, not commissioned projects, testimonials or business results.

A simple first step

Let’s make
your work
look the part.

Share the basics when enquiries open. Thomas can then discuss what you need and whether a scoped website is a good fit.
